Following on from the 2015 Network Performing Arts Production (NPAP) Workshop at the Royal College of Music in London, dates have been released for the 2016 workshop. This exciting event, showcasing an array of technology used in the arts, will be hosted by the New World Symphony in Miami.

From 4-6 May 2015, the fifth European Network Performing Arts Production (NPAP) workshop will take place in London, including a ground-breaking evening performance by students from the Royal College of Music. Registration for the workshop is now open!

A new version of LOLA has just been released, which I’m sure will be of interest to you all. The most significant thing is that they have been working on reducing the bandwidth needed to run LOLA. The new version - LOLA v1.3.0 has the following new features: - new video rendering features:  - free stretch/zoom with fixed aspect ratio;  - remote video window can be duplicated and zoomed differently;  - new pixel interpolation techniques to render zoom in better quality; - some preconfigured basic layouts for video windows;

For those in the education sector working with audio, EchoDamp is a freely available piece of software designed to audio mixing and echo control. Designed for both Mac and PC it aims to prevent echo without altering or limiting the audio frequency range. This allows for much better audio quality whilst using a range of software (such as DVTS, Conference XP etc).

Following huge interest from the Janet community, we are now pleased to invite you to the Janet Arts and Humanities Streaming Workshop. This event is aimed at showcasing the array of technology available for high audio quality masterclasses and simultaneous real time performances that can take place all over the world. These techologies allow participants to collaborate in mulitple locations. Please note that there is a maximum of 40 spaces available for this workshop, so places will be allocated on a first come basis.
